The beautiful beaches of La Graciosa
The beaches on La Graciosa are undoubtedly the main attraction of the islands. Many consider to be the best beaches of the Canary Islands. Very little known and solitary, often devoid of people, especially outside of the main holiday season. Some of the beaches are well protected from the waves of the sea by the bay or lava stone reefs, providing even for young children a safe place to swim.
Playa de Las Conchas
If you only have time to visit one beach, we suggest you visit Las Conchas beach, the most beautiful beach of the island, which has also been ranked in the top 10 best beaches in Europe. In addition to all this magnificent beach impresses with its contrast of colors, more than half a kilometer of white sand, turquoise sea, the mountain as clear as the sun in the horizon, and the Vermillion Red Mountain in the background dotted with sparse vegetation.
Playa Francesa
Another gem of tranquility and natural beauty is Playa Francesa. This quiet beach is a protected lagoon of dunes of white sand and clear turquoise blue sea, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and exploration.
Playa Cocina
A 10-15 minute walk from Playa Francesa you will find a hidden beach Playa Cocina, another particularly beautiful white beach and isolated to escape civilization. Located remotely in a small bay at the foot of the mountain yellow is a perfect beach for romance and sunsets. The beach offers stunning views and a quiet exclusive.
Playa Lambra
Playa Lambra is another beach often completely isolated, where one can enjoy nature at its most unspoilt state. Located in the north of the Graciosa offers a white sandy shore with black rocks in the coast and view toward the uninhabited island of Alegranza.
Los Arcos
A little more to the north from Playa Lambra, you will find a truly impressive scenic natural phenomenon,Los Arcos. Los Arcos are natural constructions of basalt stone with several meters in height which flows through the water. The formation of the arches of basalt is due to the strong waves in the área.
Pedro Barba
The beach of Pedro Barba is a rustic and isolated beach in the village of Pedro Barba- the second settlement on the island, converted into an exclusive tourist center. With white sand, calm waters, outside the main season the village is completely uninhabited. It is quite common to find turtles here.
